Megan Burns

Megan is from Woodstock, IL.  She is the Director of Catering at Deli Time LLC and is active in several suburban Real Estate organizations.  She is delighted to be a part of the RETH team and to have the opportunity to give back to the community.  Heart health awareness is an extremely important topic that has affected her family and friends. Kristin Bush

Kristin was born in Maryland but grew up in Florida and due to her time in the military and college has lived in several states on her way to calling Illinois home.  This moving around helped to spark a love for travel and adventure in Kristin, and she has visited all but six states in the United States (a “but” that she plans to rectify within the next few years) as well as several countries in Europe and Central America.  Even though not the fastest runner, Kristin enjoys running and completed a marathon while on her honeymoon in 2008.  Kristin still runs several days a week to try to stay healthy and also enjoys hiking, biking, yoga and kayaking.  Kristin is excited to join Real Estate Takes Heart on its mission to raise awareness of heart disease!

Ina Dorsey

Ina was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, and although she visited many other cities, Chicago is by far her favorite. Ina enjoys traveling and hopes to do some traveling this year with her BFF, her daughter Ava. In her free time (which really doesn’t equate to much!), Ina enjoys playing board and video games, spending time with loved ones, and reading. Ina has worked in real estate for 10 years and is currently a Real Estate Manager for a commercial real estate services firm. She is pursuing her MSRE and is a member of several real estate organizations. Health in general is important to Ina and this year she plans to learn some new healthy recipes to share!

John Dzikowicz

John hails from the great state of Michigan and was brought down south to Illinois to get a job.  Though he has nothing to do with the real estate world he had the wonderful opportunity to join the wonderful ladies of Real Estate Takes Heart to work on their fundraising ventures. Even though John is not an avid runner he enjoys an active lifestyle riding his bike, and playing as much hockey and golf as he has time to. He also enjoys coaching youth hockey with the St. Jude Knights organization.  Heart health is important to him, having heart issues affect his family. He realizes taking an active approach to your heart health early can help avoid larger heart problems in the future.

Sarah Kraus

Sarah was born & raised in St. Louis, MO, and went to the University of Missouri for college. Go Tigers! She moved to my favorite city, Chicago, right after college.  She loves everything about Chicago (except maybe not its winters)! Sarah loves to be active in the commercial real estate industry, and in her spare time she likes to hike, bike, swim, play tennis, and beach volley. Health is very important her, and she tries to make it a priority. To keep a healthy focus she is running her first half marathon this summer!

Jessica

Jessica Morris

Jessica is a transplant to Chicago from Upstate New York via several detours throughout the country for college and military service. She has strived to make her mark on Chi-town and find ways to be involved and give back to her new community. She has been honored to be a part of the Real Estate Takes Heart team.  A love for running has led her to finishing the Chicago marathon twice, not to mention countless other half-marathons and 5Ks.  She spends her free time staying active by doing yoga and playing roller derby with the Windy City Rollers.   An avid environmentalist, her ideal vacation is disappearing into the woods for a week for a solo backpacking trip.

Jonelle

Jonelle Ocwieja (Dzikowicz)

Jonelle is a Lisle native. She grew up riding her bike through this course accompanied by her loving father. He was a contractor and worked on residential and commercial properties. Often she would visit him on jobs and, odd as it sounds, the smell of dry wall dust and flooring glue bring back fond memories! Project management is in her blood and she feels right at home in middle of construction chaos. She was inspired to start Real Estate Takes Heart because her father had a heart attack and passed away before either of them were ready. She hopes that this race will encourage dads, contractors, and everyone to diligently manage their heart health for themselves and their loved ones. Even guys with the biggest hearts get heart attacks.
